It took a lot of hard work to get the kart ready in time for the PPPRS event at Maker Faire NYC 2012. But we made it!
Needless to say, we learned a lot. Mainly to get started a little earlier — and not wait until 2am the night before to get the kart moving.
Burnt Mosfets, burnt motors and broken wheels later we made it back home to ponder the next one. Here’s a video showing some of the races, we had fun.
Well another Baltimore RobotFest has come and gone. If you missed it, well… there’s always next year. Here’s some pics you missed courtesy of our hackerspace members.

The HaHas have reserved 4 tables which will be chocked full of recent acquisitions including bulk wire spools, test equipment, electronics part grab bags (only $2!), connectors, military and government surplus, heat shrink tubing, wire wrap equipment, and other indescribable stuff you simply must have.
This event is like a geek paradise. The HaHas acquired some awesome stuff in the prior two years and this year’s looks to be shaping up to be awesome as well.

Last weekend we displayed our projects at Robot Fest 2011. In our photos, you may notice a few new things on display. This is because in 2010 Robot Fest also became Mid Atlantic Mini Maker Faire. Unfortunately we spent most of the day behind our table and we were not able to capture everything at the event.
